A comprehensive collection of essential strategies, shortcuts, and secret techniques to maximize your profits and efficiency in Schedule 1.
Whether you're just starting your illicit empire or looking to optimize your late-game operation, this comprehensive guide covers essential tips, tricks, and strategies for every aspect of your business in Schedule 1.
Getting Started – Early Game Tips
- Start Smart in Co-op: Before leaving the RV, let your weed grow. Harvest, package, and take everything: lights, pots, racks, and packaging stations. This gives you 24 OG Kush and 2x LED grow setups early at the motel.
- Unmixed Weed = Great Start: Early game, unmixed weed (especially Green Crack) sells well in bulk and can sustain your income for quite a while.
- Meth Isn't Always Worth It: Unless you're deeply optimizing, switching to meth production early may not justify the setup time and effort if weed is already doing well. Just skip to cocaine later in the game.
- Avoid the Barn: Consider skipping the barn and saving for the docks warehouse instead. It's more cost-effective long term.
Dealing Tips & Sales Strategy
- Late Night Deals = Infinite Time + Bonus: Set all deals for the late-night slot. Time pauses at 4AM, and deals freeze with 2 hours left. You also earn a 20% curfew bonus.
- Double Bonus Trick: Wait until after 4AM, then schedule next morning deals. You get both the 20% curfew bonus and an early delivery bonus (~10%).
- Deal Smart: Wait for customers to text you — they place larger orders than what you'll get randomly on the street.
- Cops? Turn Around: If you're dealing and a cop is nearby, turn your back. As long as you're not facing them, you're safe.
- Quick-Deal Technique: If there are cops near deals or customers you want to give a sample, split your inventory into stacks that are the size of each deal, shift-click the drugs into the customer's inventory, and hit the deal button fast to avoid police suspicion.
- Frisk Avoidance: Avoid cops and barricades entirely by walking around them. At night, cops only see directly in front of them.
- Cranky Frank Exception: He's the only customer who can order multiple times a day. Everyone else is once per day.
Deliveries & Logistics
- Use Vans as Storage: Delivery vans won't leave until empty — great for bulk storage.
- Direct-to-Van Purchases: Park in store loading zones and items go straight into the van.
- Dead Drops with Cash: Fill a supplier's drop box with cash — they'll only take what's owed. Extra cash stays.
- Supplier Deliveries: Order several dead drops in a row with 1 item each from suppliers. The amount of reputation gain doesn't increase with the number of items ordered, so you can max out their reputation with you fast. Once you are max reputation with a supplier, they will deliver to you, for a fee of course.
Production & Growing
- One Light = Two Pots: One grow light placed between two racks can serve both efficiently.
- Botanists Ignore Automation: Botanists don't use auto-soil or watering — save the space.
- LEDs > Tents: LED setups yield 12x per cycle compared to 8x in grow tents.
Employees & Automation
- Assign Multiple Stations: Shift-click to select multiple items like pots or stations and assign them a destination at once.
- Assigning Routes Faster: When setting up logistics, click all source items first, then assign destinations together using E.
- Worker Fix: If employees stop working, knock them out or reload the game.
- Employees Stop at 4AM: Regular workers freeze at 4AM, but lab equipment keeps running.
- Dealer Inventory Behavior: No need to worry about leaving an inventory spot full in your dealers, they will make it work. No lost cash for you!
- Dealers App: Check how much product and cash your dealers have without tracking them down.
- Assigning Customers to Dealers: Use the Contacts app to match customers to their correct dealer region.
Vehicles & Movement
- Golden Skateboard: Fastest mobility option — buy ASAP. You can even pickpocket the money back from the skateboard vendor after buying.
- Veeper is Best Vehicle: Great speed, low cost, and max trunk space (16 slots).
- Block Cops with Cars: Park a vehicle in front of police station steps to stop nearly all patrols.
- You Can Sell from Vehicles: Sell directly from cars for convenience.
- Drive into Black Market: Yes, you can drive vehicles directly into it.
Combat & Law Avoidance
- Free Weapon: There is a baseball bat lying in the basketball court that you can go pick up for free at the start of the game.
- Pickpocketing: You can pickpocket cash or product from customers, but be warned: if caught, your rep drops.
- Jump Boost Trick: Spam jump while running under ledges to leap over fences and move faster.
Interface & App Tricks
- Pricing Tip: Adjusting item prices in the app affects what dealers sell them for, too.
- Favoriting Mixes: Star the products you plan to sell — saves time if you have hundreds of mixes.
- Unpacking Items: Click the "Pack" arrow at packing stations to set it to unpack jars or de-brick products.
Laundering & Credit
- Launder Constantly: After early game, always be converting cash to credit. Credit is needed for most major purchases.
- Co-op Banking Trick: Each player has their own $10k ATM limit. In co-op, that means $20k/week laundering.
Extra Tips & Observations
- NPCs Stuck? Bump or Punch: Walking into or hitting them usually resets their pathing. All else fails, reload.
- Beds, Shelves, & Stations in Businesses: Yes, you can furnish laundromats and businesses.
- Real-Time Processes: Mixing, laundering operations, chemistry, and drying stations run on real-time — keep them running while time is paused at 4AM.
- XP System:
- You get 20 XP per deal, regardless of product amount or quality.
- Dealers earn only 10 XP per deal.
- Clicking Easier: Use shift-click to deposit $1000 quickly.
- Modding (Solo Play): Mods like Stack Limiter or Enhanced Dealers help manage late-game complexity. Optional, but effective.
